PETS ARE INDIVIDUALS TOO

Black and white.jpg

Some people call them their pets, others call them their babies, their siblings, or their guardian angels. I call mine Sammy, my furry little brother (in human years he’s younger; in dog years, he’s ancient).

Our dogs, cats, snakes, and bunnies (or whatever pet you have) are always more than just our furry or slithery friends; they’re a fixture of your family. They’re the centerpiece of the holiday photo. They’re the giddy welcome home.

Our pets ride the family roller coaster alongside us, learning, feeling, living, sharing. Sammy was there when we moved from our old house, and he couldn’t sleep the first night in our new home despite my attempts at pacifying him.

Sammy was there when my grandmother died, when I didn’t want to talk to anyone, and he stayed with me, right by my side. But what was he feeling when he nuzzled up next to me, when he whimpered and beckoned me to pet him and pull him close?

What was he feeling when he watched me with his doughy eyes as I packed up my room, stowed away my clothes, and stuffed my car? What was he feeling as he barked at me when I hugged him goodbye, when I went off to college and he could no longer sleep curled up on the pillow by my head?

At Interlokit, we understand how important our pets are. Let’s face it, as much as we need our pets, they need us too. Wearable technology can give us the power to check on every family member, to make sure they’re okay, just like you would with grandma or Uncle Jay.

In the moments you’re away, it’s reassuring to have access to your loved ones’ day, whereabouts, and needs. When pets are scared or anxious, joy-filled or sad, they want us to know, and they want to know we care, too.

The future is near for pet-specific wearable smart devices—discrete devices locked within beautiful accessories we currently provide our pets to keep them safe. These helpful wearables for pets will give you peace of mind in knowing where your best friend is at all times. These devices will also be able to provide important data to assist your family vet in monitoring stress levels, activity, and other key health statistics.

With all their sass, personality, and love, our pets are individuals, too! It only makes sense to share the benefits of wearable technology to help them be as healthy and happy as possible, and to feel their #RealAge instead of dog years!
