TECHNOLOGY AND THE (ONLINE) CLASSROOM

Technology in the (Online) Classroom.jpg

It has been nearly a hundred years since the pitiless grip of a pandemic closed its fingers around humanity’s neck. It has been nearly a hundred years since the 1918 flu, yet time never stops.

It has been about seven months since my life as a student changed. Paused.

Although COVID has strained the fabric of our political, economic, and social norms, it doesn’t pause time. Now, as we begin to look forward and consider coexisting with a relentless virus, we have to ask what the school year will look like.

Interlokit is dedicated to improving every facet of life, and we know the irrefutable importance of a strong educational foundation. Even in the wake of a pandemic, we cannot disservice our children to a haphazard, patch-work, and insignificant education.

With online learning the reality in many schools across the country, Interlokit wants to help teachers and students maintain healthy human interactions and connections.

ConcealSmart™ accessories for hidden wearable technology could be the gateway into a stronger online learning experience. Now and in the future, schools must be equipped to adapt to a changing technological, political, and social landscape.

Let’s face it: some students are outspoken and curious (and some talk way too much and get in trouble for it—not to call myself out), and other students disrupt class with trademark class-clowniness, and some more reticent students prefer to slink under their teacher’s radar.

In online learning, teachers face a tall task: how are they to maintain a productive learning atmosphere? Well, why don’t we give teachers the ability to monitor whether or not a student is sitting at the computer (in the event they are allowed to turn off the camera) by giving that teacher access to the student’s concealed smart wearable technology.

Students won’t be constantly distracted by a screen on their wrist or in their hand, nor will the teacher need to ensure they are “behaving” while on the other side of the screen. With ConcealSmart™ authentication wearables in use, teachers could positively identify that the student is the one taking the test, without cheating, is alert, and remains an active and engaged learner during the day.

Through the implementation of ConcealSmart™ accessories for hidden wearables tech in education, evaluations could benefit students who put in the time and hard work.

For the more reticent students out there who are less likely to ask a question when prompted, what if you had the opportunity to tap a hidden device three times to alert your teacher you have a question on the topic they’re covering?

ConcealSmart™ accessories for hidden wearable technology will help pave the way to the future of education, not only in the current climate but also as we progress into new and alternative forms of schooling.

Interlokit will spearhead the inevitable coalescing of education and wearable technology.
